WHI Solutions Launches Nexus AI Suite for Nexpart, Starting With AI-Assisted Phone Ordering

PR Newswire

Already in use with major parts distributors, Nexus offers 24/7, no-hold, multilingual phone ordering built on WHI catalog data. See it at AAPEX 2026, WHI Solutions Booth V838.

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — WHI Solutions, an eBay company, today launched Nexus, the AI suite for its Nexpart parts ordering platform. The first Nexus capability, AI-assisted phone ordering, answers customer calls and takes orders directly through Nexpart, so customers don’t wait on hold when the counter is busy or the store is closed. Nexus is already live and rolling out with major parts distributors, with dozens more implementations underway.

Nexpart Nexus

WHI Solutions will demonstrate Nexus at AAPEX 2026, Nov. 3-5 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Booth V838.

AI that answers when the counter can’t

Phone ordering is still the backbone of the parts business, and the pressure on it peaks at predictable times: early-morning rushes, busy counter hours and calls that come in after close. With Nexus, customers call their distributor, speak naturally with an AI agent, ask questions and place orders around the clock, without waiting for the next available counterperson.

Nexus fits into a distributor’s existing call structure and sends orders through the distributor’s Nexpart ordering workflow, so there is no separate system for staff to manage or for customers to learn. It supports multilingual conversations, starting with English and Spanish, with additional languages in development.

“WHI selected Parts Authority to be the first auto parts distributor to deploy Nexus to their customers,” said Tom Hager, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Parts Authority. “We worked very closely with WHI in the early phases of the product development cycle of Nexus, and we are extremely impressed with the speed, accuracy and functional capabilities of this amazing technology. We look forward to moving quickly beyond our initial test customers to a wider deployment to those of our customers that prefer speaking on the phone rather than using conventional keyboard-based B2B tools.”

Built to work alongside counter teams

Nexus takes on routine, time-sensitive calls so counter staff, inside sales and customer service teams can focus on complex requests, exceptions and the customer relationships that set a distributor apart.

“AI can help answer the call, but your people still own the relationship,” said Mike Schuurs, General Manager, WHI Solutions. “Nexus takes pressure off the phone so the experts behind the counter can spend their time where their expertise matters most.”

Built on WHI catalog data

WHI Solutions has spent years working with parts manufacturers to build the most comprehensive, highest-quality parts catalog in the industry. WHI also uses AI to enrich that manufacturer data, drawing out the details suppliers need to market their brands and buyers need to make the best procurement decisions.

AI is only as good as the data behind it, which makes the WHI catalog the foundation for Nexus and the next wave of AI across the aftermarket. Nexpart connects the aftermarket, and Nexus brings intelligence to that connection.

Available now, with more AI solutions to come

Nexus is included with Nexpart, with a minimal setup fee and little lift for distributors. Because Nexus works within existing call structures and Nexpart ordering workflows, WHI gets distributors up and running quickly.

Factory Motor Parts is among the next major distributors bringing Nexus to its customers.

“WHI has been a trusted partner to Factory Motor Parts for years, and Nexus strengthens that relationship. Our internal team has had great success with it: Nexus is intuitive, fast to order from, and naturally conversational. We’re excited to offer customers the ability to place orders by phone any time of day, with no hold times and no need to wait for business hours,” said Annette Miller, Senior Manager, Customer Experience, Factory Motor Parts.

AI-assisted phone ordering is just the start. WHI Solutions is building Nexus into the core Nexpart platform and ordering process, with more AI capabilities planned across its products to help parts buyers and sellers find, order and move parts with less effort.

At AAPEX, attendees can see Nexus in action and talk with the WHI team about catalog data and AI at Booth V838. For more information, visit https://getstarted.nexpart.com/nexus.
