LIGHTHOUSE POINT, FL – October 27, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
McNamara Chiropractic Center has launched a structured back pain program that pairs computer-controlled spinal decompression with Class IV laser therapy in a single appointment. The program is led by Dr. Carol McNamara-Krauss, DC, and is offered at the practice’s office at 3320 N Federal Hwy.
The program uses the Antalgic-Trac® decompression system, which applies controlled distraction to the lumbar or cervical spine with angle-specific positioning and variable tension cycles. Each decompression session is followed by a LightForce Class IV laser session over the same spinal segments.
“Patients with disc-related back pain often come to us after trying several things separately,” said Dr. McNamara-Krauss. “This program puts decompression and laser into one plan, and the evaluation decides whether a patient is a good fit before anything starts.”
The practice offers the program to patients whose back pain is associated with herniated or bulging discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, or spinal stenosis. It is a non-surgical approach and is distinct from chiropractic manipulation, although adjustments may be included in a broader care plan when clinically appropriate.
Every patient begins with an initial evaluation that includes a health history, physical examination, and review of any existing imaging. Patients with an X-ray or MRI from the past two years have that imaging reviewed at the visit, and those without recent imaging may be referred for it before a course of care is set.
Visit frequency is set at the evaluation and adjusted as the patient progresses, with the goal of a defined course of care rather than open-ended treatment. Results vary with the type, severity, and duration of each condition, and the practice does not promise a specific outcome.
Not every patient is a candidate for spinal decompression or laser therapy, and the evaluation is used to identify conditions that would make either treatment inappropriate. Patients for whom the program is not suitable are advised on other options.
Dr. McNamara-Krauss is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College and holds Florida chiropractic physician license CH5281. She has practiced at the Federal Highway location for more than three decades, treating back pain, neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, and auto accident injuries.
The new program joins the practice’s existing services, which include chiropractic adjustments, shockwave therapy, a knee program built on Knee-on-Trac® decompression, and custom orthotics. Chiropractic appointments are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and afternoons and on Tuesday afternoons.
Details about the Spinal Decompression Program are available on the practice’s website, and the office can be reached at (954) 902-6371.
