New integration connects Star Math insights to Carnegie Learning’s coherent instructional ecosystem, linking personalized support and practice to what students are learning in the core curriculum
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. and PITTSBURGH, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Renaissance® and Carnegie Learning® today announced a strategic partnership that connects Renaissance’s Star Math assessment with Carnegie Learning’s ClearMath core curriculum through Renaissance Intelligence, creating a seamless pathway from assessment insights to curriculum-aligned instruction and practice for K–12 educators.
Traditionally, educators manually connect assessment results to the appropriate instructional materials, a time-consuming process of manipulating data and searching for curriculum-aligned resources appropriate for all learners. This partnership eliminates that burden by bringing together assessment insights, core instruction, and supplemental learning resources in a unified experience, including Carnegie Learning’s MATHia adaptive learning platform and Renaissance’s Nearpod and Freckle solutions.
At the center of the partnership is a broader commitment to instructional coherence. ClearMath provides the foundation for grade-level instruction, while Carnegie Learning’s personalized learning solutions connect support and practice back to what students are learning in the core curriculum. By linking Star Math insights to this comprehensive instructional ecosystem, the partnership will help educators respond to individual student needs while maintaining a coherent mathematics experience across core instruction, intervention, and practice.
“Together with Carnegie Learning, we’re creating a more coherent experience that helps educators move seamlessly from assessment data to instructional action,” said Todd Brekhus, Chief Product Officer at Renaissance. “By bringing together Renaissance’s trusted assessment insights with Carnegie Learning’s research-based mathematics curriculum and learning technologies, we’re making it easier for educators to connect student data to meaningful instructional action. Together, we’re helping schools personalize teaching more effectively for every student.”
A unified experience for assessment, instruction, and practice
Renaissance Intelligence helps connect Renaissance assessment insights with Carnegie Learning instructional resources and other aligned learning content, enabling educators to move more efficiently from understanding student needs to taking instructional action.
With this partnership, educators can:
- Get personalized recommendations based on Star Math results, with specific ClearMath lessons, MATHia activities, and Renaissance resources, tailored for individual students, small groups, or whole-class instruction.
- Move seamlessly from data to action, with instructional next steps delivered alongside assessment insights, eliminating the need to search for curriculum-aligned materials.
- Plan more efficiently, knowing that instructional recommendations connect diagnostic data to standards-aligned mathematics instruction.
“Assessment data becomes most valuable when teachers can use it to make informed instructional decisions,” said Jessica Cubellis, Chief Product Officer at Carnegie Learning. “By connecting Star Math recommendations with relevant Carnegie Learning resources, this partnership will help our shared customers spend less time searching for materials and more time determining the right next step for each student.”
Together, Carnegie Learning and Renaissance are helping schools connect assessment, instruction, and practice in a more cohesive experience. By aligning trusted assessment data, high-quality mathematics curriculum, adaptive learning technology, and supplemental instructional resources, the partnership enables educators to personalize teaching at scale and support stronger outcomes for every student.
