Veteran intelligence executive brings decades of national security leadership to support Symmatrics’ mission of securing the AI and quantum future

Hallman joins the company as organizations across government, defense, and critical infrastructure sectors face escalating cybersecurity risks driven by artificial intelligence and the emergence of quantum computing.
A respected national security leader, Hallman brings more than three decades of intelligence and security experience, including senior leadership roles at both the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). He is currently Vice President and Strategic Account Executive for the Intelligence Community at Leidos, Inc.
“Andrew’s experience leading the nation’s most critical intelligence and security initiatives makes him a valuable addition to our advisory board,” said Walter Raquet, Chairman and CEO of Symmatrics. “As AI accelerates cyber threats and quantum computing challenges traditional encryption, Andrew’s perspective will help guide our efforts to develop technologies protecting governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure from the next generation of cyber risks.”
From 2019-2020, Hallman served as Principal Executive, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, performing the duties of Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, where he helped oversee the U.S. Intelligence Community and served as a principal adviser to the President on intelligence issues. From 2015-2019, Hallman stood up and led one of the Central Intelligence Agency’s newest directorates, serving as the Deputy Director of CIA for Digital Innovation.
“Symmatrics’ breakthrough in one-time pad encryption at scale uniquely positions the company to address the most significant security challenges of our time,” said Hallman. “Symmatrics approach prevents attacks by eliminating much of the attack surfaces targeted by AI and quantum and better protects sensitive networks and communications with device and user identity management. I look forward to supporting the team in safeguarding our country’s organizations.”
